  • This is the on-line homepage for the 4th and 5th grade.
  • The first chapter of Spanish 1B, Capitulo Puente, links the two books, with a review that refreshes the language skills that the students have already learned with plenty of reading and writing practice. As in 1A, 1B uses technological resources to promote learning and is a continuation of the vocabulary, grammar, speaking and writing of 1A.
  • Math 8 is an Algebra course that follows Singapore Math's New Elementary Math model.
  • This class is designed to develop life and leadership skills in its participants. It meets during Flex Time and at other times throughout the week.
  • Science-Air

    This course will focus on light, sound,gas laws, atmosphere, weather, forces, simple machines, and aerodynamics. The biological components of this year will include nervous system (emphasis on the ear and eye), respiratory system, muscular system.
  • Humanities - Cycle 2 is an interdisciplinary course involving history, English, grammar, art, current events, and more. We will examine U.S. History from the Civil War to the present, and this will be the starting point for the other topics we touch upon.
  • Spanish 1A introduces students to the Spanish-speaking world with a balance of grammar and vocabulary in every lesson. There are reviews before major assessments. Students are expected to use the language in conversation and write weekly emails to the teacher.

  • This is the home page for Mr. B's class. Daily task and assignments can be found on this page.
  • This class is designed to develop life and leadership skills in its participants. It meets during Morning Meeting and at other times throughout the week.
  • Writing is a strictly on-line course that all USL students take, and it is designed to increase each student's proficiency in crafting and revising responses to a variety of prompts.
  • Math 6/7 is a class that adheres to the standards of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and uses the Singapore Math system.
  • This site contains resources for faculty and staff for the 2008-2009 school year.
